A teacher in London, England, who has sex with a 15-year-old boy, was sentenced to 16 months in prison.
Alice McBrearty (23) admitted to having a four-month relationship with a male at a school in east London.
In a trial at the Snaresbrook Crown Court revealed McBrearty kissed his student in a class, and had sex at his parents' home in Wanstead Park, east London.
He was found guilty of alleged violations of seven rules about sexual activity with children when in a position to gain the trust of the concerned.
Prosecutors believe the relationship began when McBrearty's teachers began sending friend requests of friendship on their Facebook students.
Lawyer Lisa Matthews said the teenager, whose name can not be mentioned, "felt special" and "seemed crazy" with McBrearty.
In this trial the pair met in a number of locations, including a hotel rented by McBrearty and made sexual contact.
Their relationship stalled when the boy's father contacted the police.
McBrearty put his head in his hands and seemed to sob when punished by judge Sheelagh Canavan.
The judge describes him as "an intelligent, intelligent and talented young woman, who knows what is right and wrong," but does "the most serious offense of faith".
"You have a sexual relationship with a 15 year old boy," he said.
"I know that he agrees - what would a 15-year-old student reject?
"I accept you believe that this is a fun romance, you love it and vice versa, and age is not a problem, but it's a problem."
"You should keep him safe, help him to make the right decision, instead help him to make mistakes."
Emma Shafton, her lawyer, says her client, who is no longer a teacher, has felt "the honor of falling."
"He has been deeply humiliated by the case," he said.
