Hypersonic Missiles, These Weapons That Can Spark World War III

the world is now worried about North Korea's ongoing nuclear weapons development and often trials that rush through danger like passing through the Japanese sky. Not to mention the threats that create rhetorical conflicts with the United States. Many resentful researchers can all trigger World War III.

Unrest is now being increased through the presence of new weapons with high-speed sonic technology or hypersonic missiles. Launched Daily Mail, on Friday (6/10/2017), this weapon is now being developed by the US, Russia and China.

It is known from a report that said a new type of weapon is capable of endangering both large and small states in a war.

The report recommends that the US, Russia and China should agree not to export hypersonic missiles to other countries.

The report was issued by the RAND Corporation which reveals the dangers of this weapon. Hipersonic missiles capable of maneuvering and flying 5,000 km / per hour.

That speed is five times faster than traditional missiles. Thus, the weapon is capable of fighting any missiles that make the attacked country unable to alert.

"Such weapons are currently being developed by the United States, Russia and China, which could trigger other countries to follow," according to the researchers in the report.

Other countries including, Europe, Japan, Australia and India are also starting a similar technology. Thus, this hypersonic missile is able to develop quickly.

The researchers in the report predict it may be less than 10 years to prevent this weapon from spreading.

They also called on the international community to immediately establish a kind of controller so that the hypersonic missile technology does not spread.

"Because if there are no strict rules, these weapons are capable of sparking a war much more horrible than we ever imagined," said Richard Speier, lead author of the RAND Corporation report.

This is not the first time the researchers fear this weapon could trigger World War III.

In July 2016, Mark Gubrud, a physicist and professor at Peace, War, and Defense at the University of North Carolina, suggested that this technology should be banned.

"Hypersonic flight sounds fun, but it's not for you," Gubrud wrote in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

"It means a weapon that might be used for nuclear war openers, they can also carry nuclear warheads and fly unnoticed radar," he concluded.

US and Australian Hipersonic Missile
In July, the United States and Australia have tested a hypersonic missile. The weapon can fly five times faster than the speed of sound.

The final phase of the Hypersonic International Flight Research Experimentation (HiFIRE) program includes successful trials in South Australia. Similarly, as quoted from The Independent.

The hypersonic weapon prototype piloted by these two countries has the ability to change the direction of the flight in which a reconnaissance aircraft will be difficult to detect.

Having this type of weapon allows the US to attack the enemy without notice, including short notice.

The HiFIRE project, which originally involved NASA, was launched over eight years ago.
