Sally Jones, a British militant who became a recruiter for the radical group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was killed in a US drone strike in Syria. Jones was killed with his 12-year-old son.

The news of Jones's death (50) was reported by British newspaper, The Sun, and dilansir Reuters on Thursday (12/10/2017). Jones was reportedly killed in a US drone strike in June. The Sun quotes British intelligence sources who have obtained information from US intelligence.

Spoken by British intelligence sources quoted by The Sun, Jones and his son were killed in a US drone Predator attack on the Syrian border region near Iraq. At that time Jones called trying to escape from the city of Raqqa, the headquarters of ISIS in Syria.

According to British intelligence sources, the US intelligence director admitted could not be 100 percent sure that Jones died because it was impossible to find his DNA sample directly on the field. But US intelligence authorities 'believe' Jones has been killed.

Jones's son Jojo is believed to have been killed in the same drone attack. Although called by The Sun, Jojo's whereabouts are not known to US military authorities when launching drone attacks. Jojo was not the target of the attack.

Jones, a convert from Chatham, Kent, England, traveled to Syria in 2013 and married ISIS militant Junaid Hussain, who is also from Britain. Hussain, dubbed the 'leading cyber jihad', was killed in a US drone strike in Syria in 2015.

Hussain's death prompted Jones to be dubbed the 'White Widow' by British media. He continues to be active as a member of ISIS with his role as a militant recruiters online. Sometimes Jones posted ISIS's propaganda message on social media, including a picture of himself wearing nuns who were pointing a gun at the camera.

While still living in England, Jones is known as the mother of two children and a former punk singer. After joining ISIS, he was in charge of leading the women's wing to the ISIS foreign militant battalion. The goal is to attack Europe and America.

The US includes Jones in the list of 'High Values Target' to be killed. US intelligence blamed Jones for deploying a list of 1,300 US military personnel to the public and asking militants and ISIS supporters to attack them.

Together with her husband, Jones planned a series of ISIS terror attacks on three different continents. The attack included a plan to detonate a bomb on the streets through which Queen Elizabeth Elisabeth II and Prince Philip were in London during VJ day celebrations - the surrender of Japan in World War II - two years ago. In 2016, Jones is accused of calling on women in Britain to carry out terror attacks during the holy month of Ramadan.

Jones became the sixth British citizen killed in Syria in a drone strike. In addition to him there are other ISIS militants like Reyaad Khan, Ruhul Amin, and ISIS executioner Mohammed Emwazi aka 'Jihadi John' who both died in 2015.
