The type of music that psychopaths love

One of the key elements in a thrilling horror movie is the soundtrack and the distinctive sound effects. Sullen voices, sometimes with a powerful tone build up the tension and turn the visuals on.

In the Alfred Hitchcock movie, "Psycho", a high-pitched violin sting can make the scene of the murder in the bathroom the most remembered scene in the history of the cinema, although the killer is not clearly displayed.

More than just a thrilling effect, the music in a horror movie seems to follow the trend according to the musical preferences of its psychopathic figures. For example, Hannibal Lecter is a big fan of classical music, so desperate to kill a violinist for trivial reasons, disrupt a note.

It was not without reason. According to a study published in The Guardian, the owner of psychopathic character likes a particular musical genre. Although often portrayed like heavy classical music, it turns out that psychopaths like popular music.

In a study conducted by a team from New York University, about 200 people were tested to determine their psychopathic score, then they played 260 different songs.

The participants were then asked to rate each song and the researchers pulled the data and then linked it to the psychopath score of the respondents. The genre most favored by psychopaths is rap, R & B music, and is followed by rock music.
