Three Rohingya refugee children sleeping in a refugee camp with their parents in the Balukhali forest area of Bangladesh, were killed by wild elephants on Saturday (15/10/2017).
In addition to the three children, an adult female was also killed by an elephant in the same area. Their deaths highlight environmental impacts after Rohingya refugees who fled from Myanmar to the forest in the hilly region of Balukhali.

According to The Guardian, the refugees were sleeping on Saturday early morning at the Rohingya refugee camp in Balukhali. The passing elephant stepped on three children and a woman to death.
In addition to four people killed, four other Rohingya refugees were also wounded and are in critical condition at the Sadar Hospital in Cox's Bazar, said a policeman, Afrujul Hoque Totul.

The deaths from being trampled by the wild elephant are the second incident since the Rohingyas began after the end of August 2017.

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees arriving in Bangladesh have caused the forested area to be used as a shelter camp because the camps have been unable to accommodate them.
Already more than 530,000 Rohingyas have fled to Bangladesh in the last two months since the Rohingya militant attack on more than 30 Myanmar security posts on August 25.
The militant attack was the reason for Myanmar's military operation, which the United Nations calls ethnic cleansing.
Myanmar continues to deny Rohingya ethnic cleansing, except to chase the Rohingya militants who are attacking the country's security posts.
