This couple, it seems, is destined to have a baby with a weight "above normal".
Why not. In 2013, the husband and wife from the northern province of Vinh Phuc, Vietnam has a son weighing 4.2 kilograms.
And on Saturday (14/10/2017), they are back with a son. The difference, the younger brother has almost twice the weight of his brother.
The baby named Tran Tien Quoc was born weighing up to 7.2 kilograms.
Tran Tien Quoc became the toughest baby in Vietnam. It shifts the record made nine years ago, when a baby girl weighing nearly seven kilograms was born in Gia Lai Province.
The father, Tran Van Quan, admitted he did not believe he would get a jumbo-sized baby.
"When doctors say the weight of my son reaches seven kilograms, we are not sure," he said quoted by the AFP news agency.
To further convince Van Quan, doctors took Tien Quoc into the inpatient room to be weighed. The numbers did not lie.
"He's a bit heavier than when he got out of his mother's belly (Nguyen Kim Lien)," Quan added.
Quan also added that Quoc and his mother were in good health, and would return to their homes.
Until now, the world's heaviest version of the Guinness World Record was recorded in Aversa, Italy, born in 1955 weighing 10.2 kilograms.
